Southbank Walk for Faber Members

Join John Grindrod, author of Iconicon and Concretopia, on a walk along the South Bank in London. Exclusively for Faber Members.

John Grindrod led Faber Members’ first ever walking tour of Croydon when his book, Iconicon, was published in April 2022. To celebrate the launch of the paperback, he’s back, this time leading a lively stroll on the South Bank to uncover a modern history of London. From the fringes of Docklands, past the Shard, the Millennium Bridge and Tate Modern to the National Theatre and Southbank Centre and the London Eye, with views of Charing Cross Station, the Barbican, Canary Wharf and the Cheesegrater along the way, this walk will tell the story of the rebuilding of Britain from 1945 to today through the capital’s modern monuments. There will be a stop en route for refreshments, and a chance to buy signed copies of Iconicon from Foyles.
